L’hitraot, l’hitraot, shalom, shalom
Translation – goodbye friends, until we meet again. Shalom also means ‘hello’ and ‘peace’.
Pronunciation – ‘Ch’ is pronounced ‘H’ with a guttural throaty sound
This is a 4 part canon (round)
- Choose an instrument to play – either ukulele, bass or alto xylophone or glockenspiel
- Sing in unison x 2 (together)
- Play the melody on a recorder or other instrument
- Divide into 4 groups and sing in a round. Choose a colour to follow all the way through until the words stop – yellow, green, pink or blue
